David Mocklin, PTA, ATC, CSCS
David Mocklin has served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Mount Carmel Academy since 1998.
He has also directed initiatives for breast cancer research and fundraising. During the month of October each year, several volleyball schools, including Mount Carmel Academy, participate in the Pink Games. These games have raised over $80,000 in the past five years.
David was the Medical Director for the 2005 and the 2011 AAU Junior Olympic Games, overseeing 26 different sports and over 20,000 athletes. He has also served as the Medical Director for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation since 2004, which has included the New Orleans Bowl, Arena Football League Championships, Venus & Serena Tennis Tour, Governors Games and the NBA All-Star Game.
He also serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine and has served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the LHSAA State Championship for football, volleyball, soccer, swimming, tennis and wrestling. He was also the Head Athletic Trainer for the New Orleans Brass Hockey team from the 1998-2000 seasons.
David is available to Mount Carmel Academy athletes every day after school as well as during lunch and Independent Study periods by appointment.
David attends almost every Mount Carmel Academy volleyball, softball, basketball, soccer games, and local cross country meets as well as some tennis matches, swimming meets and track and field events.
